Shot by photographer Jason Mark Harris, the skyrocketing young artist cast classic beauty Abi Penhale as the heroine of this feature. Dressed in sumptuous ensembles by Agent Provocateur and Nichole de Carle, Abi exerts calm confidence from beginning to end. After great anticipation, The Libertine brings you a new fashion editorial from one of our favorite photographers. ‘The Moon Shines Through Her’ is a studio story featuring up-and-coming model Bibi Sharipova. The shoot, lensed by the ingenue Jens Ingvarsson for The Libertine, concentrates your attention on the naked charisma of this captivating new talent, on a spring afternoon like any other, gazing out a studio window in NYC. Bibi bares flawless skin, a clean face and loose hair; a formula that produces an enchanting and stirring series of memorable portraits. Enjoy!
Shot on location at the abandoned, but soon to be restored, 1926 YMCA building; editorial ‘L’été’ is a rustically romantic roman à clef, of models Jessica Sikosek and Mary Reschar, styled in gossamer looks by the designer Kim Hendrix.
Conceptualize by progressive talent Fox Harvard, this fashion story blends the demure with the dilapidated, refined with rachitic; yielding an entrancing depiction of unabashed opulence, against a backdrop of rough austerity. The two young sirens vacillate effortlessly between gritty and glam in a series that will subtly stay with you. Enjoy!
Here is a gorgeous new story by Libertine favorite, Marco Michieletto. Having shot for us in the past, Marco created ‘Carbon Capture’ with Italian enchantress Sylvia Sakellaridis; resulting in a perfect component to compliment our Summer Session series, July 2013. Marco manages to capture intimate and emotionally charged impressions of the beautiful model/actress; as she unveils a subtly hypnotic private persona. Each images is completely transporting. The chemistry between the photographer and the subject radiates from each frame, for a series that is both whimsical and evocative. Beautiful BEAUTIFUL. Enjoy!
“Dizzying” would be an understatement, one would agree, after full acceptance of Cassandra Smith’s almost careless, yet engaging presence in these shots. Photographer Tyrone Lavigne captures her easy vacillation from one emotion to the next in an absolute wash of delicious flavors; leaving the viewer curious and crazed, exhausted in the most vivacious of ways, much like a muscle beaten to strength after a gratifying day of hard work. Drawn to devour, when we catch the glinting spark in her eyes (in such precious few of these fleeting moments), the viewer is at once confronted with the craving to understand the muse, and the realistic futility of that desire…creating a deliciously fervent frustration! There’s a subtle restlessness in our model, as she bares the beauty of her energy… giving it up to us to toil with. The stunning series solicits a compulsion to know her fully, and the hope that one could stand in the flame, unburned, by succeeding.
